Hearts of Midlothian…
Are you feeling romantic? Need a little Valentine’s gift-ette? Or are you planning (or know someone who is planning) a wedding? We were feeling in need of Frivolity, so have created our Hearts of Midlothian for you.

We had so much fun with the Hampstead Wreath we thought we’d carry on the wreath-y goodness. These are just as easy and even quicker to make than the Hampstead, so there is no excuse not to have one to decorate the breakfast table with on the 14th (or tables on a wedding day).
We knitted ours in DK and Aran, and wrapped the knitting around polystyrene forms from Craftmill. You can get the same forms in Hobbycraft.
As Wendy is still a little, erm ‘obsessed’, with her pompom maker, we put pompoms on:

We also crocheted roses, rosebuds and leaves (get us! Multi-craftual!):

It has also occurred to me that should you not be feeling romantic, should you, indeed, be feeling positively vengeful about something (or someone) then you could also knit yourself a heart and put it into quite different work:

A pin cushion!
Go on, indulge yourself (or someone else). So much better for your waistline than chocolates. All details here.
